Moving the studio bench

A change of room starts with the light, the tools and a clear path around the work.

Before moving the bench, we drew the new room on a sheet of paper. The window, sockets, door swing and storage shelves went on first. The bench had to fit the working day, not only the empty room.

We packed each stage of work separately: drawings and models, unfinished pieces, finished samples and packing supplies. Keeping the trays labelled meant we could find one job without opening every box.

The photography table needed its own place. Moving it away from the main bench kept dust and loose tools out of the product pictures. A small shelf beside it held the background cards and a neutral reference.

Once the room was working, we checked the public information. An address, appointment note and delivery instruction should all describe the same place. Vesper’s Berlin setting is fictional; replace the sample location before using the site for visits or deliveries.
